Description
Are you a Software Developer / Engineer who wants to move up within an organization and learn new and exciting software platforms? Do you have a passion for innovation and problem solving? We are seeking a talented engineer with Dev Ops skills, who has interface and service application experience to join Praescient Analytics.
At Praescient, we are passionate about building products that solve our clients’ hardest data problems. Our software developer/engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including developing, implementing, and testing software to meet specific project requirements; specifically interface and service applications. Our staff enjoys a large amount of autonomy and independence in how they solve problems. As a consequence of that, we are looking for someone who can think outside the box and approach client challenges from many angles.
You may come from the following backgrounds:
You’ll be partnered with an expert in intelligence/investigations and their domain expertise, combined with your technical prowess, will go to various clients to support their dynamic missions. Imagine being embedded in the DEA solving counter-narcotic workflows for two months, then embedding with Special Operations Command the next couple months focused on Targeting operations. We’re looking for the best and brightest to “deploy” into various client-sites in order to quickly orient them to advanced intelligence platforms, integrate relevant data, and personally create compelling workflows / analytic findings within the system to prove it out for that specific client. This requires someone who likes a high tempo environment, is able to quickly orient themselves to new data and missions, and acts independently to ensure client success.
This opportunity is truly unique, and we’re focused on finding the right individuals to comprise an internal Quick Reaction Force, ready and willing to get up-to-speed on advanced technologies, be seen at the Subject Matter Expert, and roll into client sites ready to set up shop and prove out our capacity. Your success will be marked if at the end of the surge, the client turns to us and says “I want more of THEM!”. As professionals in this field know, it’s all about trust. You’re there to foster it and make their organizations better with advanced technology to help them.
In short, we're the go-to for IBM to implement their newest upgrade to i2 Analyst's Notebook - EIA. It's much more robust (think histogram, timewheels, etc) and allows for collaboration of intelligence across an entire organization. We're leading the enterprise deployment of EIA at a few different sites and we need our “first-in” responders who embed as the face of the platform – we will train you to be the Go-To Expert of EIA. Your goal is to quickly install it, integrate data into it, and tweak it as the client requests certain things be highlighted in order to prove its value. Don’t worry – you don’t have to be a domain expert in intelligence – we’ll partner you up with a sharp analyst who will help translate client requirements to you. You two will form the core team. We keep it tight so the client knows who they can turn to for information. If you’re agile, capable, and passionate – we want to talk to you.
You should bring these skill-sets to the table:
If you have a background in most or all of the above, then odds are you have a lot of choices of how to spend your time.
