This position is in support of the Department of Justice US Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York (EDNY). The organization requires a modern big data solution to support broad and high profile investigative priorities. As a Praescient employee supporting this effort, you will be on the front lines implementing EDNY’s premier investigative analysis platform.
Praescient Analytics is in search of a Data Analytics Training Specialist to develop and provide technical documentation and end-user training on computer hardware and application software. This includes conducting research to develop and present training courses and appropriate training documentation and handouts..
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support training in Analytics and Business Intelligence tools and applications, will focus on providing training support to attorneys, paralegals, Government Case Managers, client agency staff, and/or other Contractor employees.
- Setting up and operating end user support programs for major applications in support of specific projects.
- Sets up overall user training programs, particularly for complex applications such as Tableau, Aster, and IBM i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis (EIA) which require active on-going training and support to ensure that they are being used effectively.
- Develop training course outlines and agendas.
- Establish training facilities and schedules.
- May supervise work of teams of user support staff
- Organize, prepare, schedule and conduct training sessions. Audience may include attorneys, paralegals, Government Case Managers, client agency staff, and/or other Contractor employees.
- Prepare training approach and materials.
- Arrange for use of training facilities, for access to appropriate applications, etc.
- Performs help desk functions - answering and responding to user phone calls and coordinates support with office automation support contractors and staff
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Minimum of 7 years of applicable experience
- Excellent Oral and written communications skills
- At least one year must be experience with the Tableau, Aster, or IBM i2 Analyst Notebook
- Experience involving teaching/training users in computer applications, preferably Business Intelligence or Network analysis applications will generally be expected
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with DOJ office automation environments extremely helpful.
- Should be an expert user of the Government's word processing, spreadsheet, and email systems.
