Praescient has extensive experience designing, developing, and integrating solutions for customers including the US Army, Special Operations Command (SOCOM), US Navy (USN), US Marine Corps (USMC), US Coast Guard (USCG), Department of Justice (DOJ), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), intelligence community, and local law enforcement agencies, among others.
The SOF EKM operations are defined as the integration of people, processes, and technology, to facilitate the exchange of operationally relevant information and expertise to increase organizational performance. This involves creating, organizing, applying, and transferring knowledge to facilitate situational understanding and decision-making, which enables decision superiority. Praescient Analytics is in search of a Senior Knowledge Systems Specialist to provide support for the creation, testing, migration, documentation, maintenance, and daily operation of SOF Enterprise collaboration capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage, and support of Knowledge System Tools.
- Provide solutions by analyzing business needs and processes, recommending the best methodologies and tools (from approved platforms).
- Develop and design out of the box solutions.
- Coordinate across the organization to ensure enterprise solutions are utilized.
- Provide training for users.
- Engage as the subject matter expert on our selected platforms- including Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365 and emerging collaboration tools as identified to successfully satisfy information requirements.
- Understand business requirements, goals, and risks in order to formulate and define technical scope and objectives of projects.
- Provide analysis, design, development, implementation, and provide client support and consultation for IT issues.
- Focus on improving business operations.
Tools:
- Understand program languages: C#, C++, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and SQL.
- Applications: Microsoft (MS) SharePoint, MS SQL Server; MS Business Intelligence Stack; MS CRM; DefenseReady, SOCTube, Accenture Task Management Tool; Skype, Jabber, Defense Communications Services, Microsoft Office; and Records Management Software etc. (supported applications will change with available technology)
- Networks: (DoD networks) Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System (BICES) networks, etc. (may change if mission dictates so).
- MA/MS Degree
- 10+ years of relevant experience (Can substitute Master’s degree for BS degree with 12+ years of experience)
- If degreed, prefer Computer Science related field
