We are seeking a Close Access Security Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to support the 1st Information Operation Command (IO) located in Fort Belvoir, VA. As a member of a vulnerability assessment team you will work within the 1st IO's Red Team Detachment as a Close Access Security Engineer studying, analyzing, testing, and improving the supported client’s force protection programs.
Daily Responsibilities:
You will be preparing operations, evaluation, and assessment plans and drafting annexes for IO, Imagery Analyst (IA), intelligence and security, and vulnerability assessment (VA) support. Duties include developing, reviewing, updating, and developing Tactics, Techniques, & Procedures (TTP) and contributing to the development and review of full-spectrum IO doctrine in support of Army-wide and Joint Service applications. Providing support with physical security evaluation and facility access as part of a full scope vulnerability assessment team you will be required to work nights and weekends while on an assessment, traveling for two or more weeks at a time to provide technical analysis of information and information systems operations, physical security, and risk-management programs.
As a Close Access Security Engineer on the Close Access Team, you will:
• Conduct risk management activities by systematically identifying, assessing, and managing risks arising from operational factors and making recommendations to the government to enable decisions that balance risk and cost with mission benefits
• Review unit’s operation security (OPSEC) posture and policies.
• Conduct surreptitious entry operations in order to support computer network attacks as part of a full scope information warfare assessment.
• Conduct Static and mobile surveillance.
• Conduct social engineering and elicitation attacks.
• Plan and draft phishing emails
• Conduct, prepare and document such attacks.
• Develop, and recommend to the government, AT/FP policies and procedures to include AT plans, AT/FP Standard Operating Procedures, overall physical security programs and appropriate security measures
• Review assessed unit’s tactics, techniques and procedures in terms of physical security.
• Provide detailed findings and recommendations to the assessed unit(s).
• Document the results of after-action analysis in technical reports and executive briefings.
• Prepare/update/provide daily operational status briefings.
• Conduct open source research and analysis.
Position Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:
• Five years of counterintelligence (CI) or similar information operations (IO) and/or intelligence experience relative to red teaming with a bachelor’s degree. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, nine years of CI/IO experience.
• Strong foundation and knowledge of OPSEC and military intelligence.
• Solid understanding of the Army’s Anti-Terrorism force protection policies.
• Solid understanding of surreptitious entry operations.
• Solid understanding of red teaming and information warfare.
• Solid understanding of the Army’s Physical Security policies.
• Familiarity with digital photography and Photoshop.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating system and Office Suites.
• Possess strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
• Position requires willingness to travel up to 30% of the year for two weeks at a time.

Clearance Requirement:
Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and hold active DoD TS/SCI clearance completed within the last 5 years.
