Praescient Analytics is seeking a Software Developer, Mid to join our team to support our intelligence customer in Reston, VA. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an ability to obtain a security clearance. This role will require the employee to be onsite at the Reston office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Code, debug, test and troubleshoot applications throughout the application development process.
- Design and develop software applications
- Participate on agile scrum teams and release trains using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), analyzing, developing, debugging, testing, configuring, and deploying software solutions in an agile, cloud based, and continuous development environment
Required Qualifications:
- Years of Experience needed: 0-2 with MS, 2-4 with BS, 8-10 with HS diploma
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java; also including front end languages such as JavaScript and associated constructs, and backend-based language such as Python.
- Knowledge of and basic experience with RESTful and/or SOAP Web Services.
- Knowledge of and basic experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS, e.g.)
- Knowledge of and basic experience developing and using automated software tests
- Knowledge of and basic experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) environment, using tools such as Jenkins and Docker or similar
- Highly motivated, self-learner, and technically inquisitive
- Knowledge of Statistics and data visualization tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow established processes & checklists with minimal supervision
- Ability to understand & apply basic and advanced concepts to resolve minor issues as well as assist Senior level Technicians, Specialists & Managers
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
