Praescient Analytics is looking for an Automation Tester to join our team located in support of an IRS contract in Lanham, MD working remotely.
This role supports the Return Review Program (RRP), which is a mission-critical, automated system that is part of the IRS’s tax processing pipeline component which detects and selects potentially fraudulent returns to prevent/stop the issuance of invalid refunds. RRP maintains an integrated data warehouse that stores return data and taxpayer information for data mining, runtime scoring, scheme development and research. It incorporates multiple analytical techniques to detect anomalies for fraud and non-compliance, allowing RRP to improve the analytics each Filing Season to help the IRS identify increasingly sophisticated tax fraud.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides expertise in the planning, constructing and execution of release tests.
- Develop an expertise in the testing principles, processes and methods as defined in the methodology framework.
- Analyze the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance.
- Support different Databases, be it SQL Databases such as MySQL, Postgres SQL or NoSQL Databases.
- Ensure that the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology are applied as specified in testing approach, and that all testing results are easily accessible and understandable.
Required Qualifications:
- Must Have Active IRS MBI Clearance
- Execute Compare tools to identify differences between output data
- Create Test Reports to show details of test results
- Create and maintain test cases and test case traceability mappings to verify functionalities have met stated requirements during testing of the application
- Provide development support and project level testing of the application functionalities through defect resolution
- Review/Analyze Test Documentation
- Record output in RTC
- Create data and test procedures
- Understanding of Agile development
- Knowledge and understanding of using Control-M
