Praescient Analytics is seeking an Account Director for our Defense Account Services Division. You will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of business development and capture management for strategic opportunities. Initiate and develop the formation of strategic partnerships to win major opportunities and/or strategically grow the business and provide long term strategic planning and growth for our business with the Department of Defense. This role will have a heavy focus with contracts supporting Special Operations Command (SOCOM). This position can be supported remotely with some travel requirements.
Praescient Analytics, LLC is a Veteran-led, certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) founded in 2011 which specializes in implementing advanced analytics solutions across the defense, intelligence, and law enforcement communities. Praescient has extensive experience designing, developing, and integrating solutions for customers including the US Army, Special Operations Command (SOCOM), US Navy (USN), US Marine Corps (USMC), US Coast Guard (USCG), Department of Justice (DOJ), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), intelligence community, and local law enforcement agencies, among others.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Development: Utilize your network and strategic insight to identify and source new business opportunities within the DoD that align with Praescient Analytics' capabilities and growth objectives.
- Leads opportunity captures, including developing overall win strategy; shaping deals with customers; developing teaming strategies, identifying, and closing with teammates; supporting proposal artifact development; and understanding pricing and assist in developing winning price.
- Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships and assess competitor capabilities aligned to specific customers in the Defense community.
- Support creation and execution of multi-year business development strategies.
- Work closely with the Proposal Management team for supporting technical reviews of opportunities and help determine feasibility, experience, and past performance.
- Support proposal development, pricing and talent acquisition activities.
- Build Trusted and Valued Relationships: Proactively meeting with executive-level government leadership and partner leadership, adding value by identification of business opportunities for the customer/partner, conveying a firm understanding of the customer's/partner's business and political drivers, displaying executive presence by building rapport and credibility; clearly connecting solutions to business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Requires 10+ years of IT and professional services in Federal / DoD Business Development (BD) and Capture experience, and support across Federal business development lifecycle, including proposal-related support.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Looking for a candidate ready to graduate from working for someone else to owning their results. You should have a strong desire to take control of your portfolio and drive it to success.
- Network: Must have a robust network within the DoD, including key decision-makers, stakeholders, and large defense integrators.
- Capture Expertise: In-depth knowledge of capture management processes and strategies, with demonstrated success in leading and winning complex capture efforts.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to strategize, identify opportunities, and execute on a plan to achieve business growth and success.
- Financial Acumen: While P&L management experience is preferred, candidates with the ability and willingness to learn financial management will be considered.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Security Clearance
- Masters Degree from an accredited university
- Prior experience supporting SOCOM contracts
